Niagara County Recognizes National Adoption Month

The Niagara County County Legislature recognized November as National Adoption Month as Legislator Jesse Gooch presented a proclamation to Social Unknown Image Services Commissioner Meghan Lutz, Deputy Commissioner Tricia Lippa and Director of Services Billie Tylec.

National Adoption Month is a nationwide effort to educate the public and prospective parents on the struggles many adoption eligible children face in finding a family and how they can help.   In her remarks to the Legislature, Commissioner Lutz discussed how fostering a child can often lead to adoption and urged those in the community to consider becoming a foster family.
