Paper Shredding Event this Saturday, August 26,  at Pendleton Town Hall

Niagara County Legislator Tony Nemi today announced there will be a paper shredding event this Saturday, August 26 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pendleton Town Hall.  The event is open to all Niagara County residents and no registration is required.

“This is a follow up to the paint and paper collection event we did at Starpoint schools in July when a heavy rainstorm interrupted the paper shredding,” said Nemi.  “Even in the downpour, we still got 600 cars through the line.  But since we could not serve everyone and had a large number of no-shows most likely due to the weather, we decided to provide another opportunity for people to drop off their shredding.”

Nemi stressed this Saturday is for paper only.  For those with paint and other household hazardous waste (HHW), there will be collection event on September 23 in Lockport.  Information and registration for that event can be found at www.rethinkyourwaste.com/events.
