Chairman Wydysh Honored by New York State Senate as a "Women of Distinction"

The New York State Senate honored women across New York State at a ceremony in the state Capitol.  Niagara County Legislature Chairman Becky Wydysh was recognized as one of these "Women of Distinction."

State Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt presented the award to Chairman Wydysh and said, "It was my great honor to join all Senators yesterday in recognizing some of New York's most accomplished at the Women of Distinction Ceremony. So many amazing nominees, including District 62's own awardee, Rebecca Wydysh.  Rebecca is the first-ever woman to hold the highest ranking position in Niagara County Government, Chairwoman of the Legislature. She led the county through the COVID pandemic and since 2017 she has chaired Niagara County's Opioid Task Force.  She is a great leader for our community."
