Niagara County Office for the Aging Issues Warning about Deceptive Home Warranty Mailer
The Niagara County OFA Office for the Aging has put out an alert regarding the picture below. The letter urges homeowners to purchase a home warranty claiming the current home warranty “may be expiring or may have already expired.”
Each letter contains the same claim, even if the homeowner has never purchased a home warranty. The envelope and accompanying letter also heavily imply an affiliation with the homeowner’s mortgage company and "county deed records", although the fine print at the bottom then disavows any such affiliation with the mortgage company.
