Niagara County COVID-19 Update: August 26-September 1, 2021
The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following weekly update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County from August 26 through September 1. Reports will be made each Wednesday.
We regretfully report the deaths of two Niagara County residents due to COVID-19. We send our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of these individuals.
The rest of the report is as follows:
- 271 new positive cases
- Total of 20,811 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
- 278 active cases (270 isolating at home, 8 in hospital)
- 20,164 recovered
- 369 deaths
- 123,275 residents with at least one vaccine dose (https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/covid-19-vaccine-tracker)
- 3.7% Positivity Rate, 7-day average (https://forward.ny.gov/percentage-positive-results-county-dashboard)
