The Niagara County Office for the Aging provides funding and support for the following community service partners.

Musical Memories Café - A gathering place for caregivers and their loved ones to relax, socialize, enjoy a meal and enjoy some great music!  Held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.  *FREE - Reservation required for food count - call 716-433-1886 to reserve your meal (s). *

Memory Minders program works with individuals suffering with early onset memory loss.  The program is designed to slow down the progression of memory loss with brain stimulation and socialization programming.  Participants enjoy fun activities including word puzzles, trivia, special themed days, and music, exercise and art projects.  Trained volunteers work one on one with participants.  Classes meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-2pm.  Contact the Dale Association for more information at 716-433-1886.

 C.A.R.E. Telephone Reassurance - A trained volunteer will place a phone call on a regularly scheduled basis to seniors who are in need of someone to touch base with them to ensure their well-being and/or to have a friendly conversation. C.A.R.E. is not a referral service or medical alert service.

Early Memory Loss Program - The Dale Association, strives to enhance memory through stimulation, education and socialization. Memory Minders, a social day program for people with early memory impairment, welcomes new participants to its weekly and twice-weekly program.

Dial-A-Lift - provides Dale Association members with the convenience of affordable transportation from their home to the many social, nutritional and educational activities at the Centre. Rides are available weekdays, Monday through Friday.

Senior Advisor - Open to all residents of Niagara County age 60 and older, the Senior Counselor assists people to live with dignity, respect and self-determination. We proudly provide the following services for free. Linkage to appropriate community services, Informal counseling and support (at our Centre, or in your home), Information and referral, Advocacy, Liaison with family and friends, Assistance with applications for public entitlements, Empowerment to assume greater decision making, Home and hospital visits as needed, Elder Abuse prevention

Vision & Hearing Impairment Program - This multi-faceted program is designed to enrich the lives of people age 60 and older, living with a visual and/or hearing impairment through Education Seminars, Referral Information, Support Groups, Literary Book Club, Vision & Hearing Screenings, Assistive Devices Resources Center, Vision Rehab Specialist Conducting Home Evaluations, Enhanced Computer Keyboard & Screen, Closed Circuit Television (electronic magnifier).



HANCI- Health Association of Niagara County Inc. is a not-for-profit community organization, provides caring, proactive, diversified programs and services that promote independence and a healthy lifestyle across generations.

Council for Older Adults - The Council for Older Adults is made up of representatives from more than 40 senior clubs and centers across Niagara County. The COA offers many activities to help mature adults remain active, healthy and independent, which include; Educational workshops and conferences, Recreational and cultural events for seniors, Telephone information and referral, Photo identification program. Programs to encourage advance care planning, Informative cable TV show, “Young at Heart”, Partnerships to promote wellness and fitness

Senior Companion Program - The Senior Companion Program matches individuals age 55 or older with seniors in need of support services or companionship throughout Niagara County. Senior Companions provide friendship to their clients and assist with daily tasks necessary to maintain independence. Senior Companion Pamphlet

Heart and Hands - Faith in Action program. A "Neighbor Helping Neighbor" Program. Hearts and Hands- Faith in Action has recruited volunteers to execute assorted wellness support services. They focus on activities that enhance nutritional status, foster socialization, increase physical activity and provide access to health care and community services.


John Duke Senior Center - The John Duke Senior Center offers information, assistance, driving programs, dining, exercise classes and recreational programs for seniors.

 Kaleida Health

The Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Adult Day Services - An Adult Day Program designed to meet the needs of the chronically ill and impaired adult (ages 18 and above) who live in the community. Socialization, assistance with personal care and a wide variety of activities help individuals maintain their independence and promote feelings of self-worth. Adult day programs offer families an opportunity to take a break from the constant demands of caring for loved ones, who depend on them for assistance with activities of daily living. Individuals attend on a planned basis, which may range from one to five days per week, according to your special needs.

Legal Assistance Program - The Niagara County Office for the Aging attorney Gary Billingsley Esq. offers Niagara County residents age 60 and over information and assistance with such concerns as: Health Care Proxy, Wills, Guardianship, Power of Attorney, Living Wills and Trusts, Consumer Fraud, Contractual Disputes, Tenant - Landlord Disputes, Home Ownership Questions, Neighbor Disputes, Social Security Questions, Medicare and Medicaid Related Problems, SSI Application and Eligibility Questions.

Legal Services for the Elderly, Disabled or Disadvantaged on WNY -  Their mission is to improve the quality of life for elderly, disables and disadvantaged persons in WNY through the provision of free civil legal services.  Their primary goal is to use the legal system to assure that their clients may live independently and with dignity.

Native American Community Services of Erie and Niagara County Inc - Provides quality human services that meet the individual and/or family needs of the off-reservation Native American community in Erie and Niagara Counties.

Town of Lewiston - Senior Van Service provides medical transportation to town or village of Lewiston residents age 60 and older. Also offers shopping, banking day, hairdresser and barbershop appointments transportation. Does not have a wheelchair van. Contact 716-754-2071 for more information.      

Eat Well…Stay Well dining Program provides a daily nutritionally balanced hot meal to older adults, particularly those with low incomes. Besides promoting improved health and nutrition, the program is designed to promote opportunities for older adults to socialize with others and to improve access to a variety of social and health services.
Village of Youngstown - Senior Van Service provides transportation to medical appointments, shopping, and banking. Van service does not run beyond the Niagara Falls area. Village or Town residency required.
