Paint & Paper Recycling Event in Wheatfield Collects 23 tons of Paint, 12 tons of Paper

From Dawn Timm, Niagara County Environmental Coordinator:  “Thank you to everyone who came to our Paint and Paper recycling event this past Saturday at Wheatfield Town Hall.  The response was overwhelming.  More than 750 cars came through the line, making this our biggest event ever.  We collected 58 cubic boxes of paint, which is 23 tons.  We also collected 24,000 pounds of paper for shredding.

"A special thank you to all the volunteers who participated including Niagara Count Legislator Jesse Gooch, Senator Rob Ortt and Legislature Chairman Becky Wydysh.  Also a thank you to Wheatfield Supervisor Don MacSwan and his team for partnering with us to host this event and the Wheatfield constables for their amazing job with traffic control."
