Niagara Military Affairs Council Gives Briefing to Legislature

John Cooper, Chairman of the Board of the Niagara Military Affairs Council (NIMAC), gave an update on the organization’s activities to the Niagara County Legislature at their October 18th Meeting.

NIMAC is the recognized organization advocating for Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station (NFARS) in our community. They work to protect the 3,000 jobs on the NFARS and the hundreds of millions of dollars of economic impact generated within our community.  Over the last 25 years, NIMAC secured over $2 million for their efforts on behalf of NFARS and the community resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars of Federal investment. NIMAC has an approximate return on investment of $600 for each $1 invested.  Western New York would have lost the base in 2005 and billions of dollars if not for NIMAC and their unwavering partners.
