August 19 - August 25, 2021 COVID-19 Update

The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following weekly update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County from August 19 through August 25.  Reports will be made each Wednesday. 

We regretfully report the deaths of three Niagara County residents due to COVID-19.  We send our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of these individuals.   

The rest of the report is as follows: 

• 189 new positive cases 
• Total of 20,540 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths) 
• 205 active cases (198 isolating at home, 7 in hospital) 
• 19,968 recovered 
• 367 deaths  
• 121,819 residents with at least one vaccine dose (https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/covid-19-vaccine-tracker) 
• 3.3% Positivity Rate, 7-day average (https://forward.ny.gov/percentage-positive-results-county-dashboard)
