September 30 - October 6, 2021, COVID-19 Update
The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following weekly update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County from September 30 through October 6. Reports will be made each Wednesday.
We regretfully report the death of one Niagara County resident from COVID-19. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of this individual.
The rest of the update is as follows:
- 498 new positive cases
- Total of 22,838 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
- 506 active cases (493 isolating at home, 13 in hospital)
- 21,952 recovered
- 380 deaths
- 129,414 residents with at least one vaccine dose (https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/covid-19-vaccine-tracker)
- 4.2% Positivity Rate, 7-day average (https://forward.ny.gov/percentage-positive-results-county-dashboard)
