The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County:
We regretfully report one new death of a Niagara County resident from COVID-19. We send our deepest sympathies to the friends and families of this individual.
The rest of the update is as follows:
- 49 new positive cases
- Total of 14,581 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
- 536 active cases (520 isolating at home, 16 in hospital)
- 13,772 recovered
- 273 deaths
- 312,608 tests of Niagara County residents (https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/)
- 18,681 first dose vaccinations given, representing 8.8 percent of county population
- 7231 second dose vaccinations given (Note: vaccine numbers provided by NYS.)
