Correction Officer Physical Agility

A Guide to Completing the Physical Fitness Screening Test (Agility) - This is a link to a YouTube video that you may wish to view prior to the physical agility test.  The number of sit-ups required are fewer than those for Deputy Sheriff/Police Officer so make note of the Correction Officer chart in the video.  Please note that the number of push-ups shown in the video is not correct.  The required number has been reduced.  Please refer to the above qualifying standards.

Candidates are not required to be examined by their personal physician but may be examined by a physician at WNY Occupational Medicine (Lockport); Immediate Care/Urgent Care facilities, etc.  You must bring the completed medical form with you on the day of the test.

If you cannot attend the physical agility test, you must provide written documentation to civilservice@niagaracounty.com.

Physical Agility Test Waivers are good for one year and can be emailed to civilservice@niagaracounty.com.
