Care.com - A leading senior care resource for family caregivers seeking information and support as they care for aging parents, spouses and other loved ones.  They have been featured on the Administration for Community Living, AARP, Forbes, and is referenced by many governmental agencies and organizations across the internet. 

Caring Ties - An app that keeps family care information organized and accessible.  It's free.

C.A.S.E.  -A group of agencies , orginations and indiviuals whose mission is to provide resource education and networking opportunities to enhance services for the aging in Niagara County.

Center for Medicare Advocacy, Inc - A nonprofit organization that provides education, advocacy and legal assistance to the elderly and persons with disabilities to help them obtain health care.

What is EPIC?  The Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) program is a New York State Program administrated by the Department of Health.  It provides seniors with co-payment assistance for Medicare Part D covered prescription drugs after any Part D deductible is met.  EPIC also covers many Medicare Part D excluded drugs.

Family Caregiver Alliance National Center on Caregiving - Information, research and services to support caregivers, especially those dealing with cognitive impairments and brain disorders. Professional education, “Promising practice” models, public policy conferences and an array of fact sheets and other publications are offered.

National Alliance for Caregiving/Family Care Resource Center Connection - A joint venture of the American Society on Aging, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, National Association of Area Agencies on Aging, and others.

National Directory for Eldercare - Help in locating Area Agencies on Aging nationwide

National Family Caregiver Association - Educates, supports, empowers and speaks up for Americans who care for chronically ill, aged or disabled loved ones. Offers RX discount program for members, professional advisory services for caregivers and training for professionals.

National Family Caregiver Support Program  - From the US Administration on Aging, offers information on the implementation of the National Family Caregiver Support Program, including a resource guide, issue briefs and resources for caregivers.

National Parkinson's Foundation -  To improve the quality of life for the Parkinson's community through out Western NY.  There is a support group at the Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital on the 1st Sunday of the month. For more details call 716-791-3049.  The 411 on Parkinson.

Neurology Now - you can get a free copy of "Neurology Now" which has information about brain health.

New York State Office for the Aging

SNAP- A new name for food stamps.  Check your eligibility for a range of benefits for food assistance.  It's quick, easy and confidential.

The Kaiser Family Foundation - Publishes “Talking With Your Parent About Medicare and Health Coverage,” “Medicare Chart Book,” and other information and research through “The Medicare Policy Project.”

Traumatic Brain Injury - Providing assistance to people with all disabilities (developmentally disabled, traumatic brain injury, physical disabilities, mental health, substance abuse, blind, other visual impairments and  hearing impairments). Working in conjunction with organizations for individuals who are referred for assessment into various programs to meet their individual valued outcomes.

United Hospital Fund "Next Stepin Care" - A website with guides and information for Family Caregivers and health care professionals working together to take care of your loved one.

Veterans Service Agency - Our aim is to insure that all veterans and their dependents have access to any benefits to which they may be eligible as the result of the veteran’s active duty military or naval service. There are benefits due to some reservists and national guardsmen, but this must be determined on an individual basis.
