Niagara County Legislature Takes on State Article 10 Law

"We've had enough of Albany destroying our communities"

The Niagara County Legislature is expected to take up four resolutions tonight directed squarely at New York State’s Article 10 Law that involves the siting of electric generating facilities in New York State.  The law, which took away local control over siting decision and instead gave control to the Board of Electric Generation Siting and the Environment, has become a source of controversy as large wind and solar developers have descended on Niagara County to site their facilities.

Niagara County Says Residents Should Consider Passports to Fly

Deadline for REAL ID is October 1

Niagara County Clerk Joseph Jastrzemski and Niagara County Legislature Chairman Rebecca Wydysh today said Niagara County residents should strongly consider getting passports rather than rely on New York State driver’s licenses to meet the TSA requirements for REAL ID for all domestic flights that takes effect on October 1, 2020.

Lake Ontario Water Levels Already Higher Than at Same Point Last Year
