Niagara County Legislature to Return to Legislature Chamber for August 4 Meeting

Public Hearing on NCCC Budget will be Held Prior

Niagara County Legislature Chairman Becky Wydysh today announced the that next meeting of the Niagara County Legislature on Tuesday, August 4 would take place in the Legislative Chamber of the Niagara Courthouse at 7 p.m.  The Legislature meeting will be preceded by a public hearing on the Niagara County Community College budget at 6:45 p.m.  The Legislature has been meeting virtually since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Old Niagara Road Bridge Reopens Today to Traffic

Legislator Will Collins, Chairman of the Niagara County Infrastructure Committee, said today the Old Niagara Road Bridge in the Town of Lockport would reopen today to traffic.  The bridge goes over the Somerset Railroad.

Niagara County to Begin Bridge Replacement in Town of Porter

Niagara County Legislator Irene Myers today said the Niagara County Department of Public Works will begin work to replace the Porter Center Road Bridge over 6 Mile Creek in the Town of Porter next week.  The bridge, located just south of Braley Road, will be closed starting Friday, July 31st.

Farmers' Market Coupons Available for Eligible Seniors

Beginning on July 16, 2020, Office for the Aging will begin distributing Farmers’ Market Coupon Booklets at sites throughout Niagara County.  The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, headed by the NYS Dept of Agriculture and Markets, provides coupons to all who meet age and income requirements.

Niagara County Clerk Jastrzemski Says More Services Opening

Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski today announced additional services provided by the county clerk’s office would be reopening on Monday, June 29, including appointments for all DMV transactions at the Niagara Falls location as well as appointments for the Veterans Service Agency and the Pistol Permit Office.

Niagara County Set to Open Playgrounds and Splash Pads at County Parks

County Health Department Offers Guidance for All Municipal Pools

Niagara County will open one playground area in each of Krull, Oppenheim and West Canal parks tomorrow and will open the rest of the playground areas next Friday according to Niagara County Legislature Chairman Becky Wydysh.  Splash pads at Krull and Oppenheim are set to open by the end of June.
