Administration establishes and maintains working relationships with governmental entities and agencies on a Federal, State, County and local level in order to provide comprehensive services to those residents of Niagara County in need of temporary assistance.
It is responsible for the quality provision of services that are delivered with the utmost professionalism, respect, courtesy and compassion. This is accomplished through hiring and retaining qualified personnel, providing opportunities for ongoing staff development and training and by establishing quality assurance initiatives and activities.
Administration also develops and administers the County’s largest departmental budget which includes payroll and personnel functions for over 400 employees and the purchasing of equipment, supplies and services needed to operate the department.
Legal matters for the department are handled by the Chief Attorney and staff attorneys.
The administrative team consists of the Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner, the Director of Eligibility, the Director of Services, the Director of Administrative Services, the Chief Attorney, the Youth Bureau Director and the Staff Development Coordinator.
