Fire Extinguisher Recall

Residents of Niagara County who have received a free Kidde Fire Extinguisher from the Niagara County Department of Health Healthy Neighborhoods Program are advised of a product recall by the Kidde Company.  “The safety recall involves many of the Kidde Company plastic handled fire extinguishers dating from 1973 to August 2017.  The Healthy Neighborhood Program has distributed the fire extinguisher model currently under recall.  This Department encourages all owners of Kidde Fire Extinguishers verify they have an eligible fire extinguisher for a free replacement.” stated Paul Dicky, Director of the Environmental Health Division.

 

Residents should contact the consumer help line for Kidde toll-free at 855-271-0773 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, or online at www.kidde.com. and click on “Product Safety Recall” for more information.
