More than 30 community service agencies and nonprofits turned out for the Community Resource Fair at Trott Access Center Wednesday. Additionally, over 120 individuals from the Niagara Falls community visited the fair. “We are very pleased with the great work of Kristin Wolf, Public Health Nurse who created and coordinated this successful event,” stated Laurie Schoenfeldt, Niagara County Department of Health’s Director of Nursing. The Nursing Division wanted to make the local community aware of the resources at both Trott Access Center as well as the Niagara Falls community at large.  Community residents came out to see what resources are available to them and to find support and strengthen their connection within Niagara County.

“It’s all about trying to get information out about the great services available in the community, to really help people become more aware of what these agencies and organizations do and how they can serve the people in our community,” stated Kristin Wolf, Public Health Nurse.  "It’s a great feeling to see the outpouring of individuals and organizations that care for the people of our community,” she added.

The 30-plus organizations at the fair provided information on health and wellness, employment opportunities, veteran services, family services, mental health as well as substance use services. Additionally, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office had a table set up, providing information about child car seat safety.

If you have questions about the event, please call Kristin Wolf, RN at Niagara County Department of Health’s Nursing Division at (716) 278-1902.
