Community Resource Fair

Niagara County Department of Health will be holding its 2nd Annual Community Resource Fair on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, rain or shine.  The event will take place in the front of the Trott Access Center at 1001 - 11th Street in Niagara Falls.

Niagara County Department of Health Offers a Free Diabetes Self-Management Workshop

The Niagara County Department of Health Nursing Division, in partnership with the Niagara County Office for the Aging is offering a free Diabetes Self-Management Workshop.  The workshop series is scheduled to begin on, Friday, July 26th, 2019 at the, Trott Access Center, 1001 11th St., Niagara Falls, classroom 8, ground floor (down the hall from DMV) from 1:00 pm  to 3:30 pm.

Niagara County Department of Health Offers a Free Diabetes Self-Management Workshop

The Niagara County Department of Health Nursing Division, in partnership with the Niagara County Office for the Aging is offering a free Diabetes Self-Management Workshop.  The workshop series is scheduled to begin on, Wednesday, July 17 at the Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport, 521 East Avenue,                                  from 1pm to 3:30pm.

Niagara County Department of Health Reports First Rabies Case of 2019

The Niagara County Department of Health has been notified that a raccoon submitted for rabies testing from Ditch Road in the Town of Royalton (Wolcottsville) was confirmed positive for rabies. This is the first rabid animal confirmed in the County in 2019. The raccoon was reported to have bitten two sheep before the owner intervened and killed the raccoon.  The owner opted to euthanize the sheep upon hearing the rabies test was positive.

Niagara County Offers Free Evidence Based Health Workshops

The Niagara County Department of Health Nursing Division, in collaboration with the Niagara County Office for the Aging, is offering free workshops throughout Niagara County for individuals with any ongoing health condition; for example, arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, pain and high blood pressure.
