NIAGARA COUNTY OFFICES CLOSING AT 3PM
NON-ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL RELEASED
LOCKPORT—Niagara County government offices will suspend operations at 3 p.m. due to inclement weather, County Manager Jeffrey Glatz announced after consulting with department heads and other government leaders.
All county buildings will remain closed through the weekend.
Per Glatz’s order, all government employees deemed non-essential are being released at that time. In past inclement weather emergencies, employees assigned to Highway, Water District, Sewer District, and Emergency Services, including the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, have been considered essential.
Glatz urged county employees to use caution driving home on roads degraded by effects of the Nemo weather system.
Niagara County anticipates opening all government facilities for normal operations Monday morning.
