  3. Invocation and pledge of allegiance. 

  4. Selection of temporary Chairman of Legislature, nomination, move to close, vote. 

  5. Selection of Chairman of Legislature (pursuant to Section 450 of the County Law), move nominations closed; vote on permanent Chairman. 

  6. Temporary Chairman declares ______________ Chairman and appoints escorts. 

  7. Selection of Vice-Chairman of Legislature (pursuant to Resolution No. 629-95), move nominations closed; vote. 

  8. Chairman’s Annual Address. 

  9. Appointment of Clerk of the Legislature (pursuant to Section 475 of the County Law); move nominations closed; vote. 

  10. Appointment of County Attorney (pursuant to Section 500 of the County Law); move nominations closed; vote. 

  11. Appointment of Public Defender (pursuant to Section 716 of the County Law); move nominations closed; vote. 

  12. Motion for the Chairman of the Legislature to be designated to serve on the Niagara County Jury Board (pursuant to Section 503 of the Judiciary Law) and that a certified copy of this designation be filed by the Clerk of the Legislature in the Niagara County Clerk's Office. 

  13. Announcement of Majority Leader, First Deputy Majority Leader and Second Deputy Majority Leader. 

  14. Announcement of Minority Leader, First Deputy Minority Leader and Second Deputy Minority Leader. 

  15. Motion that the Legislature continues to meet the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., or at the call of the Clerk of the Legislature. 

  16. Motion to designate official newspapers; Gazette, Union Sun & Journal, Tonawanda News. 

  17. Motion to create committee structure (titles and number of standing committees). 

  18. Motion to contract with Attorney for Aging and to appoint said Attorney for a term of one (1) year.
