Abstract: Technology enables todays governments and is part of almost every facet of our daily lives. Through the systems and processes we know more and can do more with a great deal more efficiency than ever before. The volumes of data that continue to mount are both a blessing and a curse. Knowledge makes us more effective as human beings, but access to the data and the systems that create it becomes a battleground with those that would seek to exploit them. Now, more than ever, the old adage is true…..”With great power comes great responsibility”. This comes with the caveats that many aspects of that responsibility seem directly opposed to each other. Microsoft has come a long way in the last decade in regards to the topics of security, access, and enablement. Please join us for a look at how Microsoft thinks about the power of technology and how it is best protected and accessed. We will also review how these methods may be applied in your environments as well to help you be a strategic part of your organization and an enabler of your workforce.
