Cancer Services Program of Niagara County
This program is coordinated through the Niagara County Health Department. The grant is part of the statewide Cancer Services Program of the NYSDOH. Free breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings are available to eligible men (50-64) and women (40-64) who have no health insurance or who have high deductibles for these services.
The Cancer Services Program partners with all 5 Niagara County Hospitals, physicians and community health organizations to provide breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening and follow-up at no cost to eligible clients. New York State Cancer Services Program
The Cancer Services Program oversees the delivery of comprehensive breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening services and prostate cancer education to underserved populations in New York through contractual agreements with local community-based organizations. In addition the program provides public and health care provider education regarding cancer prevention and early detection, maintains a quality improvement program to ensure the quality of clinical services provided through the program and provides funds for community-based cancer support services for persons with cancer and their families.

New York State Smokers Quitsite
Smoking kills 25,500 people every year in New York State. Secondhand smoke kills 2,500 New Yorkers every year. Every year 570,000 New Yorkers who smoke are afflicted with serious diseases, such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. It is projected that 389,000 New York State youth age 0-17 will die from smoking. In Niagara County 1 out of every 4 adults are still smokers.

Roswell Park Cancer Prevention & Population Sciences
Cancer Prevention & Population Sciences plans and conducts research aimed at reducing cancer morbidity and mortality. Investigators with expertise in epidemiology, cancer cause and detection, infection surveillance and cancer surveillance comprise this program.
