SKYWARN Training

The Buffalo office of the National Weather Service will be conducting a SKYWARN spotter training seminar in Lockport, at the Public Safety Training Facility, 5574 Niagara Street Ext. - MAP on Wednesday May 4 at 7:00PM.  The training session is sponsored by the Niagara County Office of Emergency Services and will last about two hours. There is no cost for the training.

North Tonawanda—Following the recent untimely death of an area motorcyclist, Niagara County Clerk Joseph Jastrzemski has vowed to make motorcycle safety and service to motorcyclists a priority at Niagara County’s three DMV sites, with plans for a loud, rumbling roll-out of the effort on Friday.

Deputy Sheriff to Receive Award at the White House

President Obama to Award Medals of Valor

Washington, DC - On Monday, May 16, the President will award the Medal of Valor to thirteen public safety officers during a ceremony in the East Room. The Medal of Valor is awarded to public safety officers who have exhibited exceptional courage, regardless of personal safety, in the attempt to save or protect others from harm.
